Finding Purpose in Your Life

Image
"I "If you encounter difficulties in choosing a life purpose, the problem may be further upstream. Dive deeper into your understanding of reality. Question your beliefs, especially the ones you were taught never to question. What if you’re wrong? My current beliefs about reality bear little resemblance to those I was raised to adopt."                                                                                                                                           ...

Choose Your Zone!

Image
We tend to live in the Comfort Zone . It's familiar. It feels safe.  Many people live in the Fear Zone , where the weight of the opinions of others is crushing their aspirations. leaving them vulnerable to self-doubt. We would love to live in the Growth Zone , but we don't know how to get there! Would you love to set new goals ? Find purpose and li ve your dreams ?  When the discomfort of the Comfort Zone or the Fear Zone becomes impossible to ignore , or when the promise of happiness or fulfillment becomes too compelling to pass by, we start thinking about moving to a different zone. Think about your own life.  What zone are you in right now? Is that where you want to be? Why, or why not? Maybe you're feeling stuck in a career or job that doesn't fulfill you or where you don't get to use your key strengths. Maybe you've raised your kids and suddenly find that you don't really know who you are any more. Maybe you've recently divorced and have not...

What if....?

Did you know: You can NEVER rise above your own opinion of yourself? Did you know: We all have limiting beliefs that can hold us back from reaching our true potential ? Did you know: You can change your inner dialogue and alter your own perception and belief about yourself using a simple phrase ? What if...? When you ask this, what comes into your mind automatically ? For many of us, that sentence ends in "I fail", "I can't", or "I'm not good enough". But, what if..... We substitute those words with something different and change the ending of that story? I succeed I can I am good enough And what if.... We take it a step farther? Consider the obstacles you may encounter and ask: What if (insert obstacle here), then (insert strategy for overcoming the obstacle). Simple? Yes. Doable? Yes.  Remember : There are NO quick fixes ! This is a daily/hourly practice to make this a habit . What if you tried it?

Affirmations and Confidence

Look at this photo.  How do you feel when you look at it? Can you feel this boy's excitement? Can you feel his feeling of accomplishment? Have you ever won a race or conquered something and threw your hands in the air in celebration and exhilaration? Use this exercise before an interview: 1. Say these or one of these affirmations out loud to yourself in a mirror "I've got this!" or "I'm going to ace this interview!" or "This job is mine!" 2. Now, throw your hands in the air, as if you just walked out of the interview and were offered the job on the spot at a higher salary than you expected and told you start next week. 3. Repeat your affirmation(s) with your hands in the air in the mirror. The affirmation alone helps your mindset.  The physical movement of victory strengthens the affirmation. It embeds it in my mind because you feel it in your body. Trust me, it works!  If you've tried this and you found it helped, or if you try it before...
